Guided tour of the rehabilitation of the former Headquarters of the Port Authority’s office building, a work presented in the category “Rehabilitation: Restoration works, rehabilitation or refurbishment” of the XII Alejandro de la Sota Biennale, by the architects Elisabet Prat Castellví and Anna Adserà Quesada, P+A Architects SCPP.
In the 70s, Josep Maria Garreta designed the unique brutalist style building to house the Headquarters of the Port Authority of Tarragona. The building was disused for a few years because the offices became too small and were moved. To preserve it, a comprehensive rehabilitation project was drawn up to bring it back to life.
It will also be presented in the Tarragona Port Authority competition for technical assistance for the drafting of the urban transformation project around the APT headquarters.
At the end, the traditional free vermouth will be served.
The visit will start at 10:30 a.m. and we will meet in front of the Tarragona Port Authority offices.
