The Ebre Branch of the COAC is organizing the 2025 Cultural Trip for the weekend of Pentecost, on June 7, 8, and 9, coinciding with the Inter Sedes / Inter Seus event between the Central Counties and Ebre Divisions.
The Cultural Trip: Architecture in the Central Counties includes, among other highlights, visits to the rehabilitation works of the Seu of Manresa, the newly inaugurated Museum of Baroque Art of Catalonia (a project by David Closes), the Auditorium of the Convent of Sant Francesc in Santpedor, and Casa Lluvià, headquarters of the architects of the Central Counties Division, designed by the modernist architect Ignasi Oms.
The trip is structured in two parts:
- Saturday, June 7 begins with the Inter Sedes / Inter Seus exchange, a return visit following the April 5th trip to the restoration works of the Apse of the Cathedral of Tortosa. This activity can be attended separately by members who are interested but do not wish or are unable to join the rest of the cultural trip.
- The trip then continues through to Pentecost Monday, June 9, with visits to key sites including:
- Façade, Staircase, and Landscape of Manresa City Hall (Bailo-Rull, 2006–2008)
- Santa Cova of Saint Ignatius
- Casa Torra (Ignasi Oms, 1910)
- Montbou School (David Closes, 1999–2004)
- Simeó Selga Square (Jaume Soldevila Segura, 2012–2014)
- Casino Library (Ignasi Oms i Ponsa, 1891)
- Kursaal Theatre (Josep Firmat Serramalera, 1927)
- Casa Torrents – Ca la Buresa (Ignasi Oms i Ponsa, 1908)
- Conservatori Theatre
- Cal Jorba Department Stores
- Historical Library and Archive (Xavier Tragant, 2014) in Sant Fruitós de Bages
- Moià Fire Station (Josep Ferrando, 2020) in Moià
- Sagrada Família Primary Healthcare Centre (Mario Corea, 2007)
- Lluís de Peguera High School (Alexandre Soler i March, 1926)
- Manresa Union Building (1956)
The trip includes bus transport and accommodation.

Simeó Selga Square (2014)
and several key works by Modernist architect Ignasi Oms i Ponsa, including:
Casa Lluvià
Casa Torrents
Casa Torra
Casa Gabernet Español
Monday, June 9th
Morning:
Visit to the Library and Historical Archive (2014, Sant Fruitós de Bages)
Visit to the Auditorium of the Convent of Sant Francesc (2011, Santpedor)
Institutional lunch with the Board of the Central Counties (Comarques Centrals) Delegation
Afternoon:
Visit to the Moià Fire Station (2020, Moià)
Departure towards the Terres de l’Ebre.
Exceptional guides for the trip will be architects Jaume Soldevila and David Closes, authors of some of the works we will be visiting.
Accommodation is planned in Manresa, at Hotel Els Noguers, and the estimated cost of the trip, including transportation, is €250 per person in a double room and €290 per person in a single room—a cost similar to last year's trip.
Participants should also budget for four meals (one of which is already included in the Inter Sedes / Inter Seus activity). The Monday lunch will be an institutional meal with the Central Counties Delegation, covered by the Ebre Delegation.
Please note that the Saturday morning activity on June 7, the Inter Sedes / Inter Seus exchange, as the return visit from the tour of the restoration works at the Apse of the Cathedral of Tortosa held last April 5, can be attended independently of the full trip, if you wish.
We hope this proposal is of interest. You can express your intention to join by contacting:
