Manifesta 15 Barcelona Metropolitana is opening The Three Chimneys in Sant Adrià de Besòs to the public for the first time. The arrival of the biennial has breathed new life into the space between Les Tres Xemeneies and the beach, through the ephemeral architecture proposal, Cultural Greenhouse by OJO Estudio. The project uses recycled materials, alternating interior and exterior spaces to foster new scenarios.
Through culture and ephemeral architecture, the site has hosted a range of activities, strengthening the connection between this part of the city, the residents of Sant Adrià and the broader metropolitan region.
Following a brief presentation of the design strategies by OJO Estudio, a round table discussion will be held with the participation of Jose A. Gras (Fourth Deputy Mayor of Sant Adrià de Besòs City Council) and Oriol Roig (Escofet / urban furniture) to analyse how the space has been embraced, explore the values it communicates and discuss its future potential.
