On Saturday 7 in the morning, we re-discover the premises of the Industrial School with the Eixample Architecture Festival. Inside the Auditorium of the Industrial School, rehabilitated in 2020 by the Council de Barcelona, we will enter the roots of this complex, as well as the future challenges of the Industrial +. Just as the architect Rafael Guastavino was innovative almost a century ago with the construction of the Catalan vault, Catalan architects continue to bring ceramics to their structural and artistic limits that continue to break all borders. Come and “build”!
With the help of various collaborating entities, we look forward to sharing the following ACTIVITIES:
10am A welcome from COAC (Sandra Bestraten, President of COAC Barcelona) + DiBA (Juan Echániz, General Coordinator)

ARCHITECTURE FESTIVAL 2022
As part of the 2022 Architecture Festival, the COAC’s Barcelona Demarcation is holding 10 Architecture Festivals, one for each of the city’s districts. All these parties are face-to-face and open to the public, always respecting health safety measures.
Organised by the different Territorial Groups of Architects of Barcelona, together with other entities such as residents’ associations, universities, architects’ offices or different schools in each district, these festivals have as their main objective to claim a space or an emblematic building in each district. Guided tours, talks, concerts and various types of workshops are organised around these public spaces and buildings, among others. The ultimate goal is to highlight the profession of architects and their social function, always aimed at serving the public.
