The exhibition of the 4th edition of the Barcelona Architecture Exhibition continues its tour through the Network of Libraries of the Diputació de Barcelona, and this month, coinciding with Architecture Weeks, it is hosted by the Fort Pienc – Ana María Moix Library, specialized in architecture. Specifically, the exhibition can be visited in the Off Space of the Ateneu Fort Pienc Civic Center, in the Eixample District of Barcelona.
The exhibition showcases the 170 works presented at the 4th edition of the Barcelona Architecture Exhibition, of which 12 have been highlighted and 42 selected. Social housing has been the protagonist of this edition, which aims to spread the most relevant architecture built in the urban continuum of Barcelona. The exhibition makes visible the versatility provided by our education, the versatility of a profession full of diverse professional profiles, and multiple ways of practice: both related to building and urban planning, as well as other profiles that architects also undertake.
The result of a competition launched in 2021 by the Barcelona Demarcation, the setup presents the various works and projects in a playful and flexible way, reproduced on a series of wooden panels placed in different modules that make up the exhibition, inviting the visitor to interact and discover the displayed material.
Designed by Salvestudio, a team formed by Jordi Quetglas and Mireia Costa, its setup is quick and simple, while minimizing packaging materials, with the exhibition module itself becoming the container for the displayed pieces. Produced, under the direction of Salvestudio, at the Estudi Ferran Sendra carpentry in Cornellà de Llobregat, led by architect Ariadna Sendra, the aim was also to highlight the added value and business innovation of the industry that supports architects.
