We wake up on Sunday 8 in Virreina Square to hear the “rattles” of silence, an experience of acoustic awareness built with 3D technology between architects and students. The Gràcia Architecture Festival wants us to respect the festival of silence, creatively inviting the coexistence between leisure and daily life in the city’s public space.
With the help of various collaborating entities, we look forward to sharing the following ACTIVITIES:
- 10am – 10.50am Construction of the Rattles of Silence (Ferusic Room + ETSAB)
- 10.50 -11h A welcome from COAC Barcelona
- 11 am-11.25pm Mime performance “Silence in the square”. Brando and Silvana
- 11.35 am – 12pm Mime performance “Silence in the square”. Brando and Silvana
- 12pm – 1pm Acoustic walk with Amaya Caballero (acoustic awareness exercise.

ARCHITECTURE FESTIVAL 2022
As part of the 2022 Architecture Festival, the COAC’s Barcelona Demarcation is holding 10 Architecture Festivals, one for each of the city’s districts. All these parties are face-to-face and open to the public, always respecting health safety measures.
Organised by the different Territorial Groups of Architects of Barcelona, together with other entities such as residents’ associations, universities, architects’ offices or different schools in each district, these festivals have as their main objective to claim a space or an emblematic building in each district. Guided tours, talks, concerts and various types of workshops are organised around these public spaces and buildings, among others. The ultimate goal is to highlight the profession of architects and their social function, always aimed at serving the public.
