Presentation of the book “ESPINET + UBACH. Latest works and projects, 2007-2022”, with the participation of Jordi Badia, Pau Bajet, Enric Batlle, Miquel Espinet, Berta Grau and Xavier Osarte.

“The period of time chosen by the publisher, fifteen years, places us in the crisis (or rather the collapse) that housing development suffered, and even more so construction in general, during those years. Fifteen years of architectural activity to produce a total of fourteen works, some of them still unfinished, designed by a team led by the two founding architects, but pushed – we declare so as not to forget – by multiple confluences. Architecture requires technical and creative support in all its phases, from projection to construction, from engineering to the calculation of its structures, but also in the relationships with certification and sustainability teams.

Espinet Ubach has spent these fifteen years that are transcribed here adapting the production teams to respond to the challenges demanded by the most complex commissions, always faithful to our conviction to make architecture a craft of many hands.”
Miquel Espinet

Espinet/Ubach

Espinet/Ubach was established in Barcelona in 1976 by the architects Miquel Espinet and Antoni Ubach. During their extensive career they have carried out all kinds of projects, including the Pascual i Pons House in Barcelona; the rehabilitation of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Barcelona; the Ferrer Bobet wineries in El Priorat; the Esther Koplowitz biomedical research centre; the Vilanova and Geltrú courts; the V Centenary building in the city of Melilla.
In parallel to their professional activity, both have developed academic activities in different universities and design schools, as well as managerial positions in the Eina Foundation, FAD and the Chamber of Commerce of Barcelona.
