The exhibition of the 1st edition of the Mostra of Garraf and Alt Penedès begins its journey through the different libraries of the Barcelona Council, and on this occasion at the Armand Cardona Torrandell library in Vilanova i la Geltrú.
This exhibition, which is the result of the competition called in 2021 by the demarcation of Barcelona, exhibits the different works presented in the program ” Mostres of Catalan Architecture” in a fun and flexible way, in this case of the 1st edition of the Garraf and Alt Penendès, reproduced in a series of panels that are located in the different modules that make up the exhibition, inviting the visitor to interact, to discover the material on display. These wooden modules are transformed into filing cabinets and boxes, the combination of which allows different degrees of exposure of the contents. At the same time, it makes the construction of a narrative thread in the staging of the system possible, which changes according to the space where it is located, thus adopting different organisation methods. Particular attention is paid to the accessibility criteria provided, considered from a broad perspective.
The exhibition, designed by Salvestudio – a team formed by Jordi Quetglas and Mireia Costa –, is quick and easy to set up while minimising packaging materials, with the display module itself becoming the container for the exhibit. Produced under the direction of salvestudio at the Estudi Ferran Sendra carpentry workshop in Cornellà de Llobregat, led by the architect Ariadna Sendra, the aim was also to highlight the added value and business innovation of the industry that relies on architects.
