By Hand: OUTSKIRTS, GARDENS, AND MUD is a selection of prints, acrylics, and watercolors, accompanied by porcelain and ceramic sculptures, produced in recent years by Maria Rubert. A collection of landscapes built from memories of fragments of the city that the artist has discovered, studied, imagined, and fixed, layer by layer, on paper and formwork boards. These works transport us to cities, places, and small domestic gardens, revealing and making visible the hidden beauty and atmosphere captured from a distance with great sensitivity.
