Vic will host “7 de Música”, a series of seven photography exhibitions dedicated to music, organized by Tres-e-u VicClic, a non-profit organization that promotes photography and visual arts in the region.
This project, supported by the Mercat de Música Viva de Vic, the College of Architects, the Museum of Leather Art, and the City Council of Vic, is the result of voluntary work and the support of the organization’s members.
The opening will take place on Saturday, September 6 at 11 a.m., with a guided tour of the seven exhibitions. The photographers will personally present their work at the different exhibition venues:
- L’Atlàntida Restaurant
- College of Architects
- Museum of Leather Art
- Joan Triadú Civic Center
The day will conclude at the Cloister of the Joan Triadú Civic Center, with refreshments and a musical performance by Pallarols Duo, who will offer a repertoire of jazz standards and original compositions.
On Saturday, September 20, coinciding with the Mercat de Música Viva, some of the photographers will be present in the exhibition spaces to discuss their work with visitors.
The exhibition hall at the Vic headquarters of the College of Architects will host JF&I, an exhibition by Les Garrigues photographer Joan Cortès, showcasing a selection of black-and-white images of musicians and dancers connected to flamenco, jazz, and improvisation. The photographs were captured live during performances and include works previously shown at festivals such as Sona Flamenc (Tarragona, 2020) and Jazzèbre (Perpignan, 2018).
